Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Lauderdale County Court Docket does not keep or log those query terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It is kept within the operating team unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can cause the servers to receive routine technical information about the visit:
- Page-view times and the pages opened
- Device category and operating system
- Browser name and version
- Internet Protocol address
- Approximate time spent on visited pages
- A referring website when that information is supplied
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. They and analytics services help measure aggregate use, such as popular pages and common exit points. A browser can block or remove cookies, although doing so may change how some site functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, maintaining, and improving page performance
- Routing a submitted query to the selected outside provider
- Measuring which material visitors use
- Diagnosing faults and security issues
- Supporting advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
No personal case database is hosted, maintained, compiled, or sold here. The content identifies the Lauderdale County offices and systems that hold official records. Tennessee Public Case History is described only for appellate matters. Visitor data is not combined into case profiles or consumer reports, and this private resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Independent companies power the search boxes placed on some pages. Information submitted there is governed by that company's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each partner chooses its retention, processing, and disclosure practices. Read those terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Lauderdale County trial portal, clerk pages, Tennessee appellate resources, legal-aid organizations, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows one, the destination's privacy rules control. Review them before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs through their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:
- Outside search providers processing a query
- Services measuring traffic and technical performance
- Advertising networks placing or evaluating ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when valid legal process requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used for data under the site's control. No internet service can promise absolute protection, so a breach or unauthorized access cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A verified notice that a minor supplied data will be addressed by deleting that information where appropriate.
Your Data Rights
The Tennessee Public Records Act, Tennessee Code Title 10, Chapter 7, Part 5, governs access to many existing government records. It does not convert this private website's visitor data into a court record or displace this policy. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal data held about you
- Seek correction of inaccurate information
- Ask for deletion where the law allows it
- Object to or opt out of eligible processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as site practices or legal duties change. A replacement takes effect when posted here and will display its effective date.
